How Clinical Experience Inspired a New Way to Support Patients and Caregivers
Why I Created MYMEDI-PAL
Over the years, I observed a common challenge in healthcare. Many patients and caregivers leave medical visits with unanswered questions, confusion about medications or treatment plans, difficulty understanding medical information, or uncertainty about what to do next.
Family caregivers often find themselves trying to coordinate care, manage appointments, and navigate complex healthcare decisions without the guidance and support they need.
MYMEDI-PAL was created to bridge that gap.
As a board-certified physician with training in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Sports Medicine, I have spent years helping patients navigate complex healthcare decisions. Through
MYMEDI-PAL, my mission is to help patients and caregivers better understand their health, prepare for important conversations, and feel more confident navigating their healthcare journey.
Because healthcare doesn't stop when the appointment ends—and what happens between visits matters most.
Clinically Informed Advocacy for a Complex Healthcare System
After more than 12 years working within the U.S. healthcare system, I've seen firsthand how challenging it can be for patients and families to navigate care-even with access to excellent clinicians.
Despite spending more on healthcare than any other high-income nation, the U.S. continues to struggle with preventable hospitalizations, widening health disparities, and declining life expectancy. Just as concerning, patient satisfaction with the healthcare system remains consistently low. Many people leave appointments feeling rushed, confused, or unsure of what to do next.
This disconnect is not due to a lack of medical expertise-it is the result of a system that often lacks the time, structure, and support patients need outside the exam room.
